About Haven
Haven Music Hall is a venue, cafe, and bar in Saint John, New Brunswick. This is a social enterprise, built with support and input from the arts community.
Our mission is to provide an inclusive environment for artists and audiences alike; with a focus on fair payment to artists and event professionals, safer show-going experiences for audiences, and upholding high standards in live music presentation. We collaborate with local businesses, non-profits, venues, and retailers to embody a community-first mindset. We aim to welcome touring bands and tourist audience members to experience the true cultural value of New Brunswick. We made this together.
Co-owners and best friends Abigail Smith and Sidney Foy have deep roots in the music community in New Brunswick. Growing up in Sackville, NB, they were raised on DIY festivals and venues. After relocating to Saint John, they have worked together in many capacities, as opening staff of restaurants and bars, production support for recording projects, and festival venue management. Because of the difficulties the pandemic caused the local music community, Abigail and Sidney knew it was time to realize something they had talked about doing for years; opening their own music venue.
